Ojos de Agua

Ojos de Agua was born in September 2017, with the aim of ensuring the integrated, adequate and sustainable management of water and natural resources in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, both for the present and future generations. We seek to implement solutions related to the catchment and purification of water, sanitation, management of urban solid waste and integrated forestry management at small, medium and large scales. Our analysis of solutions incorporates incentivising participation and commitment from the multicultural communities of the Valley of Jovel, gender equality, the potential for employment and capacity for long-term sustainability.
